Advantages
About 1,600 inhabitants are registered there, in a total surface area slightly exceeding 5 km2. Particularly attractive is the friendly village atmosphere, the Proxi bakery and delicatessen and the Café de la Place (superb), as well as the recently renovated primary school. Chancy is bordered by the Rhône and also attracts many walkers who venture out to gather the many varieties of mushrooms that grow here (a paradise for mycologists). You can also enjoy the Vallon de La Laire, a natural marvel protected by the law on the protection of natural monuments and sites, for over 30 years.
